TYRIAN INK is currently open to chapbook manuscripts of any genre (poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, hybrid, etc) with a minimum of 30 pages and a maximum of 50 pages in length.

Due to TYRIAN INK‘s niche focus, please only submit if you are a member of the LGBTQ+ community and are 22 or below.

Please do not include any identifying information such as your name or address in your submission document, as we judge submissions independent of their authors.

You may submit to multiple categories (poetry and fiction, etc) at once.

Your manuscript may include some previously published pieces, however, your collection as a whole should be previously unpublished.

We accept simultaneous submissions, but please let us know immediately if your work has been accepted elsewhere.

Please send allsubmissions to with the subject line:

[Preferred Name] – [category] Chapbook Submission

Ex: Mary Anne – Poetry Chapbook Submission

Please also include a cover letter included in the body of your email. This should include a simple intro of who you are, a brief third-person biography, content/trigger warnings should your work deal with graphic content, and any information we need to know about your work (length, simultaneous submission status, etc.).

We ask that all manuscripts be formatted with 12 point size, any readable font (Times New Roman, Arial, EB Garamond, etc), .pdf only. We also ask that your manuscript include a title page (without your name) and a table of contents.

While we will accept stories that discuss triggering topics, we will not accept work that is discriminatory/hateful. We’re here to lift each other up, not tear each other down.

Thank you, and we look forward to reading your work!
